A story about Personal Ensign.
Looks Good In Gold
1998 colt by Miner's Mark, out of Tricky Miss.
"Charlie's" Pedigree
Currently on sabbatical after recovering from an injury following racing at Gulfstream Park under Ralph Zaidie.

In the lead with a furlong left to go, he led the pace the whole trip, but placed second by a nose.
Unfortunately, this is where he strained his superficial digital flexor and had to undergo rehab.
| After Charlie's injury I went on a personal mission to learn everything I could about training techniques and injury prevention. I believe that using a scientific approach and training regimes based on research, along with solid sports nutrition, one can build a more durable athlete that lasts. In my quest for knowledge I have accumulated volumes of research papers and several textbooks relating to the science of exercise physiology and sports nutrition. I've also been reviewing the styles of exercise riders and their effect on the biomechanics of the horse. Their techniques can have long term consequences on the soundness of an equine athlete. After talking to several riders from top stables, I can recommend Tom Ivers video, Exercise Rider: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! Available through the Equine Racing Systems link below. | ||
